At Del Fox Meats, we strive to be accurate and organized but we need your help too.
USDA and WSDA Regulation of “Custom Exempt Slaughter” (“Custom Exempt” means Slaughter without inspection for Personal Consumption) Requires that we have contact info of our customers at the time the animals are butchered. USDA FSIS Regulation 9 CFR 416.2 (g)(1)
We require you to have a complete list of your customers on the same day of slaughter. You can give it to the butcher or call it in.
WE WANT INSTRUCTIONS WITHIN TWO DAYS OF SLAUGHTER OR SOONER
Also we are requesting that you tell the buyers to CALL IN their instructions 360-629-3723 (or instructions at delfoxmeats.comm, go to the bottom of the first page click on farmer forms then click on the appropriate animal print out and Fax in to 360-629-5184 (SORRY NO E-Mails at this time)), we will try to contact them but most often we are only getting an answering machine, so since you are telling them what they owe you we would appreciate it if you would tell them to get their instructions in to us immediately, OR it is assumed that a standard cut will be ok.
Payments and invoices; orders are invoiced after processing is complete. We charge butcher fees and cutting and wrapping and further processing according to each order. Payment is expected at the time the order is picked up. We do not mail out invoices and we do not accept payment by phone. Please collect your own payments for the meat as we do not want to be responsible for your monies. If you are wanting to pay for part or all of an order (this is not part of our normal process) please do so immediately to help us keep organized.
We are a processing facility, not a storage facility!!! We will call you when the order is complete. Our freezers are full, and we process your order in a timely manner. Therefore we expect you or your customer to pick the orders up in a timely manner, generally 1-3 days once notice of completion has been given to avoid possible storage fees. Please make arrangements to have your neighbor or friend or relative pick up if you are unable. Also, remember to bring your coolers, baskets or boxes to take your order home as our freezer trays and baskets stay here at the shop.
